She came to Sarıkum Nature Conservation Area, which is 21 kilometers away from the center of Sinop. That place was named "Sarıkum" (Yellow Sand) because the sands were dispersed and the surface of the earth is yellow except for the beach. She walked barefoot on a 4-kilometer-long sandy beach reminiscent of the ocean shore. The surprise of the day was the dolphins. She could watch them from near distance. She was surprised by the lake that she could see on the beach. There were carp, golden grey mullet, halibuts, sailton pupfishes, rockfishes, argentines and three-spined sticklebacks in the lake. She felt as if she was in the cartoon. She witnessed the colorful birds when she raised her head. She remembered that this place was called "Bird Paradise". She learned that she can meet many more species of bird like lesser spotted woodpecker, pintail, tufted duck, gadwall, black cormorant, wood pigeon in Sarıkum Lake. Towards the end of the day filled with surprises, she sat on the shore and enjoyed the sun settling down from the sea.
